If you are a sheep hunter and looking for a real mountain adventure, Kyrgyzstan is your destination. It is the landlocked and mostly mountainous land in Central Asia. Eighty percent of its territory are covered by Tian Shan mountain system, with the highest peak Jengish Chokusu at 24,400 feet. The beauty of Issyk-Kul Lake (the second largest mountain lake in the world) and surrounding lands gave the nickname "Switzerland of Central Asia" to this country.
These huge highlands, also called "Mountains of Heaven", offer you a great chance for the hunt of lifetime. Amazing Marco Polo and Hume Argali inhabit wonderful terrains at 10,000-12,000 feet. The average horns length is 50 inches, with 60-inch rams taken occasionally.
Tajikistan, the country in Central Asia, is landlocked and mostly mountainous land. Fifty percent of its territory is over 9,000 feet above sea level. Eight peaks have height more than 20,000 feet.

This huge highland, named Pamirs, also called "Roof of the World", offers you the unique opportunity for sheep hunting. Magnificent, amazing Marco Polo sheep inhabit high mountain desert at 12,000-15,000 feet. These Argali have the most impressive horns amongst world's sheep. The average length is 55-58 inches, and 60-62-inch rams are taken every year, and this is far from limits.
